Chili Recipe
- basically from Jane Kossuth

2 lb. ground beef
2 large onions
4 cloves garlic
3 Tbsp chili powder
slight 1/4 tsp cayenne
1 tsp cumin
2 tsp dried oregano (or use 2 Tbsp fresh oregano)
black pepper

2 8 oz. cans no-salt tomato sauce
2 8 oz cans tomato sauce with salt
4 15 oz cans Trappey's Pinto beans - drained
3 cups water
1 Tbsp sugar

Brown meat, onion, garlic and spices. Drain off fat.
Add everything else.
Correct seasoning (add salt if necessary - but I don't usually add any).
Simmer - the longer the better - at least an hour, but two or three is better.
